    930 upgrade question

I have a set of 930 brakes that came along with a project that I recently purchased . The calipers are the same front and rear ( (Porsche Original Brembo 930 Front & Rear brake calipers 9303525411R) which I have been told are those used in the mid 80s. Will any modification be required to fit either the A arm, trailing arm or use of fuch 7 and 8 x 15s. Thanks for any info.

The rear brakes will need to be machines to accommodate the rear trailing arms on early cars. Also, on the earliest (77/78, IIRC) front 930 brake discs will work on an early car, due to offsets. The earlier brakes have flat hats on floating rotors, which IIRC, it appears you show in your pic above. Can't tell from your pics what the mounting tabs on the rear brakes look like, but assuming they are not remachined for early cars, it is a couple hundred bucks to machine them at a place like Rebel Racing.

And yes, these are by far the largest factory brakes that will fit 15" wheels.

The simplest explanation of what you're facing can be found above. They've been doing this for a looooooooooooong time.

Those look like my front rotor/hat assemblies.

Call me for information about the calipers as I have some questions.
