    Sound Deadening

Has anyone used this? If so, what did you think about it? I've almost gotten all of my old material out and I need to get it replaced. I'm open to other suggestions but I'm thinking this might be the ticket. Thanks!

interesting - I wonder how well it works

I'd scrap all the old stuff off; cover 25% of each panel with a dampening material; then get some MLV with foam on it and cover everything with that - tape the edges & seams - let no gaps show

that is the std. way to do it but might add weight

I've used the Wurth stuff, in fact I think I posted a picture of it, I think it works great, easy to install and form.

Ed, can you post pics? Did you use a heat gun to get the job done? Thanks.

Pictures are on your thread post 111. No, a heat gun was not necessary.

Ed, do you remember how many panels you used altogether to cover the car? Thanks.

It was several years ago, but I think I used two packs of panels.

I removed all of the sound deadener about 10 years ago when this was a track car. That was a nasty job.

It takes a while to trim the Wurth stuff to fit but it's worth the effort.
