Which piston for 911 S aluminium brake caliper

    Hello,
Actually I would like to restore my 911S brakes and would like to get some information from you. In my aluminium brake callipers I would need new pistons, but I don’t know which ones would be the best for restoration. I found some pistons in aluminium (anodized) and some in stainless steel, but I have just some doubts about contact corrosion….

Which one, could you recommend? What would be OEM, anodized aluminium or steel?

Hi, thanks a lot for the information. It seems to be difficult to get OEM ones, which ones are chromed… Would it be best to go for stainless steel?

I went with the hard anodized aluminum pistons made by PMB. The "like metal" manufacturing made sense to me after pulling out the heavily corroded originals.

Why would one do that when you can get aluminum ones from PMB? I really like Eric's pistons. I have taken apart dozens of 911S aluminum calipers and have never been able to salvage an original piston. It has to have a lot to do with dissimilar metals.
