    New 911 part

Restoration Design is now producing the correct fender joining panels for the 1965-73' 911/912

These are complete with the weld nuts (not the clips that were used on the later cars)
They should be up on our website shortly.

Lots of new parts recently, sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop.

    Cheers Guys!

Is this the right side? The panel being currently offered by many is for cars after the antenna was moved to the right side.

The panel on the top picture is the left side.

I believe the SWB cars had the threads and the LWB cars had the clips with sheet metal screws--so these are for the SWB cars. Chris

Nope, LWB cars had the weld nuts, not sure when the clip nuts started, but it was well into the short hood model.

Just trying to find out if this is for the right side also. Ordered a right side from SM and go a flat panel with the clips. I was told this is what Porsche uses as superseded panel because they needed clearance for radio antenna which had migrated from left to right side. This looks to have a much thicker profile which would be correct. I assumed first picture was left and second was right but just wanted assurances. You could not get the correct SWB panel before.

These parts have not been offered yet, until now. The only one that was available was a superseded part. If you compare Restoration Design's part to the other fender joining panels out there, you will see that there is a difference in depressions as well.

If you want the correct part for the year of your car..know what you're buying!
TWO differences between early and late cars. depressions/indentations and type of fastener.

We also plan to do the fender joining panel for the 69-73 911S cars. This is another different style.

    Cheers, Alex
