    Color my grill

The engine grill on my 73 S has either faded or baked away. It appears to have been originally black, but now much of it has faded or been baked away to a sort of silver gray. How do I restore the color? Was it originally painted black? Was it anodized? Was it powdercoated? The same is true of the "2.4" litre badging on the grill. The rough portion between the "2.4" numbers should be black but is now faded to silver. How do I restore these parts?

    Thanks,

    SS

The grille was originally anodized. The emblem I'm not sure of, but I think the black part was paint. How to do it? I've seen all the methods you discussed used. Evidently, parts of the grill are hard to sepearate for the anodizing process.
