For those of you with K&N conversions for your carbs, what did you do with the oil tank vent hose ?

The easy way is to clamp a K&N type oil breather cap onto the end of the hose or just shove the breather hose into a plastic juice bottle.

The better way (I think) is to direct blowby and oil vapor into an intermediate catch can to separate the oil, then plumb the fumes into the air intake. K&N housings have a inlet port for this purpose. You can get fancy and use spun alumimum catch cans. There are also polyethylene containers for such purposes. See Summit Racing. I used a Pik-a-Part windshield washer reservoir and attached it to the system with PCV hose and grommets (from the auto parts store). A nice touch is a drain valve to recapture the separated oil.
