    24h race at the Nurburgring,Germany

    Just a note for Mothersday...
After 24 h and 12 sec the 24h race at the Nurburgring in 2005 was decided. In typical Eifel weather with rain and some sunburst occasions and temperatures not exceeding 51 F the 2 BMW from the factory with Pedro Lamy and Hans Stuck, before the Dodge Viper and 7 Porsche won this years edition.180.000 Fans and 217 cars made this, one of the biggest and toughest event of it's kind.
The winning Team drove 139 laps in 23 h 58 min and 47 sec.
Fastest laps were around the 8:45.
Let's hope next year our favorite marque will gain the "holy grail" of the Nurburgring.
And now back to a happy mothersday.
    regards
    Stefan
