It is, however, ONE of ours. Wish him well. It's nice.

This is a beautiful car but I am curious about the gas tank. If I were driving this car I would feel safer with the steel tank but did this car come with the 85 liter?

I'm wondering what it would be worth if the ad said:
"matching 911/83 RS engine"

No it didn't come with a plastic tank originally. Here is the reason in the description.Originally Posted by rick2

This RS has the non original engine, but it has 38K original unrestored KM's.
1. when does one talk about original KM or miles? On which engine?
2. what are unrestored KM's? Does that refer to the engine or the complete car? (most of it's original paint has been repainted).

Hey Guys,
Just to answer some questions about my car. The Japanese market did not use plastic tanks or square side view mirrors. The car has not been restored and is basically original with the exception of the engine replacement, LW trim on the exterior and the seats with roll bar. With little work the car could be put back to stock appearance. The 911/83 replacement engine has break in time only and was reconditioned by Autofarm. The car itself has 38,000 original kilometers. Those who have seen the car can attest to that.
I suspect this RS was raced a bit when new which would explain the original engine being gone (it had a 2.8 RSR installed), the roll bar and FIA seat. It was however never wrecked and all panels are as nice as one could expect. If anyone is interested I would be happy to speak with them (631)786 6511 Thanks.
Best,
Don
Don -
What kind of roll bar is in the car now? What did the FIA seat look like - can you post a picture............cool car. Good luck with the sale.-Jim
Jim,
