I don't know much about steering wheels, but this one could also be a 914 wheel, which also came in leather and 380mm size. I have one just like it, but I think it's a 914 wheel.

For his claim to stick, he should provide pictures of the part number, which should prevent any possible missunderstanding.

    Ask GeorgeK.
He will know if it's a real RS wheel or a 914 poser...

I was together with George (and wife) for the past week (details to follow on another thread ) and he had a field day with this wheel. The biggest problem with this one is the poor job of recovering. Whoever did it didn't pull all the wrinkles out of the leather at the spokes. It is a 914 wheel but it is hard to tell in the photos if it is a 914-6/RS wheel without better photos or a part #. It does look like it may have a flat hub area where the retaining nut goes but we couldn't be sure.

803.10 is the hard plastic version of the 914/6 wheel.

The seller (Mike Burdon) was a poster on this forum - he recently sold his silver '72T with original 2.7RS engine that he had campaigned in various sprints/hillclimbs (in order to move into single seaters).
