    plastic mfi intake trumpets

Are all plastic intake trumpets the same diameter and fitment? For example, would a set from a '71 911E be correct for a '69S?

    Hi:

E & S intake trumpets are different sizes so you should use the S ones for your stacks.

    Pre- '72/2.4 were mag stacks

'72 - '73 / 2.4 - 2.7 RS Plastic stacks were different according to their throttle body size

    Plastic Stacks R/L
    S - RS 911.110.063.02

    E - 911.110.065.02

    T - 911.110.071.02

    Hope this helps

    Kenik,

I think we're having a problem with semantics...
Look at the 2 pics and let us know what part you mean...

Fist pick is of a '69-'71 ... Throttle body, mag 'stack' (actually called suction pipe) and small velocity stack within the air cleaner (unique to '69-'71)

Second pic is one side of a 2.4 plastic 'suction pipe' assembly ... molded in one piece

Please stop yelling... we're trying to help

    Cheers,

    Trumpets not stacks!

Hello: He is talking about the trumpets (ram tubes,etc.). The trumpets are different sizes for the T,E,S. If you have S stacks use the steel trumpets from PMO or one of the carb places. The old plastic trumpets get brittle with age and if you get a back fire they melt. Now for the stacks, yes the early ones are magnesium(69 are different) and the late ones are plastic with the trumpets built in. The late plastic ones melt also on a backfire. Hope this clears this up. Thanks Eric

    Trumpets

The 69 trumpets only are 50mm at the trumpet, the 70-71 are 46mm. One the S only.
