Thread: Wanted - 72 or 73 Targa 'E" or "S"

  1. #1

    Thumbs up Wanted - 72 or 73 Targa 'E" or "S"

    OK guys ---
Which one of you is ready to give up your 72 or 73 E or S Targa?
Are you downsizing? Getting a divorce? IRS on your back??
I'm looking for a car in very good to excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, as stock as possible. Must be in original color- a repaint is OK.
I'll pay within reason (maybe even beyond reason??) for the right car - no fixers, total turnkey.
Prefer a car in CA, AZ or NV so I can try it before I buy it......

    Smile I Know...

I know they are hard to find - most of the cars out there have issues, sometimes way too many issues. That's why I'm looking here, among quality Porsche people... so come on--
maybe you have too many toys, or are looking for a new car- I'll buy yours and maybe even sell it back to you in a few years.... who knows?
A 72 or 73 E or S Targa, almost any original color except sepia brown (yechhh)
I have real U.S. dollars ready...................

It's a beauty. Maybe the best early color... I've been trying to rationalize buying it myself, and I'm a coupe guy!

    Count me in...

I'm also seriously looking for a 71-73 T, E or S coupe. Actually, I love the Sepia color so that would be a bonus for me. Exactly the same kind of car Gary is looking for: turn key. Anywhere in the country is fine by me...

Thanks in advance for any tips...
