Nardi turn signal cancel ring question- '68 911

I bought a new Nardi hub adapter for a vintage Nardi Classic wheel I recently found and have a question about installing the turn signal cancel ring.

The application for the hub adapter shows 911/912 up to 6/73 on the box, but the hole for the horn contact doesn't like up on the turn signal cancel ring. I have installed the adapter on the steering shaft and it fits perfectly, so I assume it's the correct adapter.

I could just use a Dremel to open up the hole, but I don't really want to modify the original cancel ring. Is it possible that there is more than one cancel ring & I just need to source one that fits?

Another alternative would be to get a Nardi to Momo adapter and use the Momo hub adapter I already have, but I like the looks of the Nardi adapter as it is solid instead of the collapsible type of the Momo.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have a solid Nardi hub (+ Nardi-to-Momo adapter) on my '72 car & the std 911 indicator-cancelling ring fitted perfectly.

What is the model no. of your hub ?

It should have the numbers 0146 & 3600 stamped into it.

Mine has the exact same numbers as yours. Maybe the '72 turn signal cancel ring changed from the factory '68 wheel I have?
