Lightened cv joints/race prep + aero boots ??

Anybody have any experience with modified axles for early 911? Looking for pros/cons of taking brand new axles have having them modified/lightened along with smooth aero boots verse stock ribbed versions.

Anyone care to chime in with their 2 cents worth??

    Thanks

    Jim,

I'd think that the potential gains would be minimal. You can loose more rotating weight by going to lightened gears or a small clutch/flywheel setup (tilton or similar).

    Those are my $0.02 ....

Hello: The biggest gain is from lighter tires. The aero boots are nice but the stock ones work fine if not to old. A lightened diff makes a big difference as well. Hope this helps. Thanks Eric
