Q: placement of engine decals on 67 911S

    Hi,
I got a nice and I believe correct set of engine decals for my 67 911S, but I need help on where to stick what decal. I have attached a picture of the decals that I need to place.
Any instructions or good pictures of a concours 67 911S engine would be very much appreciated!
    Thanks!

I bought the set on ebay for $75 from sgabal. You can contact the guy via email joy@carclassic.biz if you like, his name is Santiago I think. Most likely he has more sets.

Thanks for that info.on the stickers.
Here is a thread with an unrestored 67S which has a picture to help you work out the order.

-I believe the Shell sticker from carclassic is incorrect for a 67S.
-You need also 2 "Vorsicht" sticker on Bosch coil and ignition box item.

    -another vendor:

However, his engine repros are printed on thin metallic "tin foil" paper and therefore differ considerably to NOS. NOS are printed on sturdy paper with "a metallic" structure imbedded in paper material.

There is no CD ignition box on an original '67S.

Thx for the link to the decal sets, Anthony. I tried the other Swedish site awhile ago, but the guy was unresponsive.

    Anthony,Mike,

While doing my multi $$$mil. rustoration last year one of the items I was very particular about was the engine bay decals. If I bought the wrong ones I would be annoyed to see them every time I opened the engine lid.
So I checked the sites quoted above but the stickers were not correct for various reasons.
Go to Stoddards - '65 to '73 - body - decals and you should find what you want for a reasonable price.Their stickers are correct material and (mostly)colour. The ones above are not the correct gold colour unless the pic is not right.
Stoddards service and price was excellent but it took a little longer than expected due to sourcing from Germany.
The only error I can see is that for a '67 S the borders should be in red although I may be wrong on that.
A pic of the placement is on p73 of the Brian Long Definative History book "63 to '71.
These should be (r to l)
    firing order
    valve adjustment
    oil level
    tyre pressure
    tyre pressure(again)
    alternator
There should be lots of posts on this here or on Pelican.
The search button will help you.

    Cheers
    Dennis.

These two comments seem to be in conflict.

I have been to the Stoddards site and cannot find any red bordered stickers which are the correct ones I need for my 67S. Am I on the wrong page from the link?
