    Engine Number

I have a 67S which has engine number 961208. The books don't list this number in the series for which my VIN exists. 307465S. I have sent off for a COA which is not here yet. Any idea on the engine number anyone as in the rebuild the guys working on it thought it to be original to the car given its condition?

    Thanks in advance.

307474S (polo red as well) came w/ engine 961239.

Chances are that you have a number matching car.

    Regards,

What books are you using? The Stoddard charts show this engine and chassis in the correct range for a late-production '67S:

    Serial # 307361S-308523S have engine # range = 961141-962178.
