I'll save you the time:
Vredenstein Sprint 165HR 15 ($72.43-89)
These are a great tire to be used in anger; I have seen them whip ass on a '67S that left burlier tired cars in its dust.

The best size for a 67 would be 165x15. Vredenstein or others would be a good choice, very vintage feel.

If performance and vintage appearance is a big deal to you, the Avon CR6ZZ in 175/70/15 is the one. They fit perfect on the 4.5s and the rolling diameter is very near that of the stock Dunlop. It is a radial DOT race tire. They are built on a really stiff case with sticky rubber. I would compare the grip and feel to that of a 225 street tire (except they don't chase cracks). They come in three tread compounds, I'd recommend getting the hardest. The only downside is cost. My second choice would be the Vredenstein which I ran before getting these. They are a great tire for the money.

I've heard this from Soterik too. I think you have him all worked up to get a set. Avon make nice tires. I use them on vintage bikes and recently bought one of their "race compound" DOT street tires for a project.Originally Posted by tfiv

Nice choice but still expensive at roughly $190 per. I like the looks of the Avons and if they stick as reported sound like a nice alternative.
