Thread: Who makes the best frt. susp. pan + tank sup.

Who makes the best frt. susp. pan + tank sup.

I am looking into the different vendors for sheet metal (Restoration design, Stoddard and some lesser known) and wonder if there are any recommendations regarding whom to get it from.

The (first) things I need are the the frt. suspension pan and tank support. My quest is re. accurateness and thickness of the metal used, not the cheapest vendor. The car it's for is a 65/911.

    Please share your experiences.

Ordered from RD who has best price and supposedly best quality. 4 months later i had no parts (though card was not charged either) even though Bill had called me to confirm the order within hours of placing it. So i gave up and ordered from Stoddard. A bit more expensive but parts got here quickly. Tank support had some surface rust in an area where primer had flaked off but otherwise parts were fine.

I caved in, however, and recently tried RD again for the right side lateral tank support and, after about a week Bill called to confirm and tell me the parts were in stock. Supposedly they are on their way.
