    Fuel combo gauge ?

Couple of questions, as I continue on the conversion to "S" gauges on my 911 clone . Does the fuel gauge / oil level instrument have a low fuel light like the standard fuel gauge? Since my car started life as a 912 would there be a wire "tied down" for the oil level gauge? I have seen a green
wire floating around in there with no place to go....could this be it?

    Thanks in advance

    combo gauge

I can't remember if the 912 used the low fuel light, although I see no reason why it wouldn't have, but I am pretty certain the 912 and 911 shared wire harnesses. The oil level sending unit wire is green with a white tracer, the wire to the fuel level sender is just green. If the oil level sender wire is in the harness I would expect the other end to be taped up behind the right rear light unit.

    Thanks Ed

The fuel gauge in there now does have a low fuel light, large and red @6 o'clock position. Thanks for the tip on the tank wire, I'll look for it.

    Cheers,

I know that the 912 has an unused wire for the 911 oil pressure gauge. It is usually bundled about in the middle of the firewall in front of the motor (green/red?).

    Ok

Found the harness, thanks Ed, now, how/where does it go through the fender
well? I see no pluged hole, does it follow one of the oil hoses? Next question, on the gauge side, green/white goes to the "G" side, but what about the "+" side?
Found and printed a schematic, and am thinking Blue w/yellow?
