    How do I know if tensioner upgrade....

    was completed if PO does not? Are there any visual clues?...

    My search for another early car(track rat) may have ended!

    Ill try to get some pics. Its more of a mildly prepped DE car than a weekend driver. We'll see.

    tensioner

    If you're refering to the pressure fed upgrade, there will be a small steel tube
    teeing off the cam feed lines going into each cam chain housing cover. Any other upgrade check will require removal of the cam chain housing cover.

    The mechanic who is performing your prepurchase inspection should note whether Carrera tensioners have been installed.

    If you have Carrera tensioners, you will see something like this on the chain covers for your engine (sithot, thanks for the photo).
