Advise on Electronic Ignition please.

Hi All,

I need to repalce the electronic ignition on my '72 E. I beleive OEM part number is 901 602 702 X

Does anyone have a spare one in working condition?

If not where is the best place to buy a replacement one? Are they all the same or any differences?

Appreciate any help/advise.

Derek,

If you still have the original Bosch Box, you can get them rebuilt. I think Ottos, Zims, and Pelican Parts (http://www.pelicanparts.com) offers the service.

Permatune is a drop in replacement but has a long history of issues. You can read about it here, at Pelican (http://forums.pelicanparts.com) and at Rennlist (http://forums.rennlsit.com).

MSD makes a very good unit but mounting is a challenge and it will not look stock.

Hi Derek,

They come often for sale on eBay or PP. Expect to pay 150-200$ on average.
Good luck finding one.
