Installing MA Shaw glass rear bumper

Aaaaaahhhhhh....it arrived today. Nice looking one piece 'glass rear bumper for a narrow body 71. Pictures tomorrow. Has anyone tackled this and have any pointers? I notice a lip along the entire top that I believe is supposed to be trimmed. I'm wondering how to trim that so it's a nice straight line. I'm thinking a long block of wood and sandpaper? Perhaps a hand held sander.

    Paul,

I think there should be a lip on the bumper that the bumper to body seal fits up against. Check your old bumpers before you grind it off.

I coulda swore the fella at Shaw said they leave material on there for adjusting the fitment, but I reckon I'll know more when I get to the fitting stage. Thanks.

LMAO...ya! I believe it was $85 shipped to my UPS box in Buffalo, NY and I just jump the border for it (I live 5 minutes from the border). What a relief to have money at par. I feel like a kid in the candy store now....
