If you are speaking of the reflectors, you can have those re-plated

Do you mean inside the lamp itself? Yes, there is hope (maybe). Is it really rust or just oxidation? You need to remove the lenses, for sure. There is one sure fire way to do this.

Buy a gallon of Jasco paint/epoxy stripper, put it in a LARGE bowl (I use pyrex baking bowls). You then put the lamp into the bowl lens down, soaking the white caulking that secures the lens in the housing and leave it there. You ay have to weight it down with a brick/piece of wood to maintain contact.

Every 24 hours, you will use a shop pick (looks like a screwdriver with the end sharpened to a point) to scrape away the softened material. After a few days, you will be able to work the lens free. Once free, you can send the reflector portion of the lamp into a glass shop that specializes in mirror resilvering. They can typically do the resto work. If your lamps are rusted through, though, there is nothing to resilver, so keep this in mind.

I have some old Cibie lenses (complete lamp units but not the buckets) if that is what you are looking for.

I will send you some pictures tomorrow and you can see whether they could be off use to you. I have no cibies on my car and am not into restoring these lights either.

Price will be very reasonable (I think).

    Regards,

    Richard
