    Is it just me?

I cannot understand why it is so difficult for me to thread the attaching screws for the rear seat back strap brackets onto the rear parcel shelf. First I struggled with my 72 911 and now I am having the same problem with my 68 911. It's a blind shot and the rear glass interferes with the process, but still...I have stripped one screw and can only get one to thread after an hour of fideling and cursing. Is there a trick to this simple process or is it just me?

You may want to tap the treads to make sure they're clean and not bunged up, and use an 90-degree angled screwdriver

Yeah, it can be a pain because those clips that you screw into can move on you. Get 4 long nails started into the holes before you seat the rail, then one at a time pull out a nail and start the screw.
