    Rear Bumper Reflector

    Hi all,

I have what is probably a very simple question for you folks. I noticed yesterday that one of the rear bumber reflectors on my 1970 Targa has a slight crack in it. I can get a replacement part but I was wondering how these are removed and installed? I didn't notice any screws, are they held in place with glue? Is it simple to replace this part or is it more involved than it seems? Thanks all!

Are you replacing the whole reflector unit or just the lens ?

The lens is retained by the rubber surround - just 'pry' the rubber carefully away from the edge of the lens (I find it helps to 'soften' the rubber first by gently heating with a hot air gun).

The whole reflector is attached to the quarter bumper by 2 threaded machine screws/bolts (hidden behind the lens).

Thanks for the info Andy, that is what I was looking for. The rest of the unit looks fine, so I may be able to just replace the lens. Thanks!
