    Dyno Pull

Spent some time at the dyno last night with a customer's Carrera-bodied turbo.

Everyone loves a dyno video so, here ya go.

Reza, I didn't have my flash drive so I couldn't get the dyno sheets. Not much to see, though, as the car goes WAY lean at 6000 RPM and the HP literally drops off a cliff.

We've decided to try a few things to get the power back ... lower the boost to .5 bar and install a Dial-A-Death (adjustable boost knob) so we can touch up the boost and, in turn, the AFR. But, as it sits, there's just not enough fuel to the motor even with the Andial boost enrichment at full squirt. The other thing we're doing is adding a pair of electronic injectors and a small computer that can be tuned to meter fuel based on boost pressure and RPM. So, as boost and RPM rises the injectors can be programmed to flow adequate amounts of fuel. The dial-a-death will be locked once optimum boost pressure has been established.

All up we're hoping to get another 60-80 reliable, turn-key horsepower out of the car and we're confident that the motor can handle it if we can keep the AFR in Fat City.

Max is still young and full of fire. Eventually he will come to realize that all fuel injection has its place.

Here's another fun run on the dyno. This time it's a hot-rod 2.7L with Webbers which, coincidentally, will be coming up for sale in the next few days.

    200.6rwhp
    177ft/lbs of torque
