    Sunset Strip 1967

Cool videos. No sound. I spotted a 356 (Carrera?) in one of them.

    Also, 1964:

    Thumbs up

FANTASTIC Curt!!!!!!!!!!!!... I was there in '67

    True story:

One night in '67 we were cruising East on The Strip in my high school buddy's '61 Impala and on our right we were passed by, of all things, the Ferrari 'Breadvan'!!!!!!!!!!

At that time the Breadvan was another 'old' race car 'brought over' in '65 by collector Ed Niles and sold first to Gray Wales and Richard Merritt. Gary and Richard had it till late '67.

I've recently talked to Gary about that night almost 45 years ago...... he said "Oh'yeah, Richard and I used to 'cruise chicks' in that thing... the problem was the room you had once you got'm in the car" .........

BTW- I think Gary said they paid about $3K for the car back then... He was cleaning his shop about 10 years ago and found issued numbered PROVA license plate to the car, he got in touch with the owner at the time and offered him the plate for about the same price as he paid for the car.........

    ... and so it goes

    - Period pic around the same time...(notice CA. black plate)
    - And now...

I grew up across the Bay from the Haight-Ashbury so the Sunset Strip isn't familiar -- but lots of great car-spotting in these videos. MGA, MG 1100 Sport Sedan, Borgward Isabella, Citroen DS, Alfa Giulietta, M-B 300, MG-TD, Mini, etc. I don't think that the silver 356B is a Carrera, though. Of course, lots of Detroit iron. I forgot how popular T-Birds, Mustangs, and Virgil Exner Mopars were. Thanks for posting.
