    Cool Goodwood Revival 2013

    Dear all,

As a GoodWood Road Racing member, I just received an email anoucing the GoodWood Revival 2013 dates : September 13th-15th.
My plan is to organise a venue to this amazing events dedicated to early cars, with our....car of course.
This will take time and efforts to organise and coordinate such trip, this is why I should start now.

That said, show me your interest, post, PM, shout please.
    All the best.
    Xavier

    Xavier,

I just returned from my 6th Revival and enjoyed it immensely. I heartly recommend it to any one who has never been, best vintage racing event on the planet, With the 10 Silver Arrows on display and 18 250 GTO's ( 15 on display and 3 racing) it was estimated that the value of the cars at the this years Revival was 600 million pounds ( us $1 billion). Serious!

Like you I enentually joined the Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) because it allowed me to experience the event at a higher level. If you can get a group together you need to keep in mind that tickets go on sale nov 1st, (only 2 weeks away) and lodging will be very difficult for 1st time attendees. All tickets are presale and not sold at the venue on race day. So the earlier you can get a group together the better. Now that all the non GRRC grandstand tickets are roving and not seat specific it will not matter so much if you order tickets several months from now.

If you get a sizable group together you will not have GRRC privileges for the group given the 3 year quoted waiting list but some options could be available. the biggest advantace to GRRC membership to me is paddock access and if you had a group I would call James Mcnaughton, club secretary, and see if you could arrange a 1 time only group access.

I do not know yet if I will attend in 2013 but if you have strong interest I am happy to provide some suggestions for viewing the event. Attendace this Sept. was 146,000.

    Al,
Thank you very much for your feedback. I'll make sure I get back to you as soon as interest is shown.
Nevertheless, I will go there in 2013, for sure.
    Cheers

Will do.... Pick her up on November 6th in LA, my only agenda is to be in New York by November 23.... Everything in between is, as yet, an unmade plan.....
