    2.4 candidates for group S.

    Gents,

AGAINST my advice a friend is looking for a solid 2.4 as a foundation for a group S car to race against the dattos.

Please post here of suitable candidates.

IMHO for a class wining car, a 2.4S has a lot going for it. Never be an outright winner, but could be a great class winner.

Agree. There are a few really well sorted ex-rally cars around Hung, I think there were one or two in Queensland.

There are some in the USA also. Does that mean the 3.0 litre is being sold? You should come and play in Sb!

    lol Alex,

    He's a real friend.
The Carrera 3 is taking pride of place in my garage next to the Mrs Passat. Not selling and no place for another race car.

p.s. I tried to convince him to buy Tim's Sb, but at that time he still had his open wheeler historic car unsold.

My advise was to get a 2.0 Sb or a Carrera 3 (yes I am biased).

Sorry I read that YOU were going to get into a 2.4!

Still, there are some cars around!

He could buy Jason Carroll's car and put a cage in it -will cost plenty of $$$ though.

    Gents,

Antony went and had a chat with Jason at Chequered flags and been convinced to get a 2.0 Sb car.
Funny how I had tried unsuccessfully to convey the same message for the last 12 months.

At this rate, there are going to be more Sb 911's than Sc 911's on the Group S grid.....and that is a fair feat!
