MFI Cold Start Sprayer Anomaly? (1970)

Today I noticed that on my 1970 MFI air cleaner housing there is no cold start nozzle for the #1 cylinder.

It looks as though the sprayer pipe is terminated quite nicely so I am feeling it could have came from the factory like this.

Has anyone ever noticed this before? I have seen other pictures online where there is a sprayer to the #1 cylinder.

I noticed this when cleaning the nozzles to confirm their spray pattern into the stacks.
I had 3 out of 5 plugged. The car starts immediately now. :-)

Should you be interested a buddy picked up a complete air cleaner for an MFI car. I'll ask him if he's interested in selling it (if you're interested in buying)

    Thanks Tom,

I am also interested if anyone has seen this before.

Could engine vibrations cause the end nozzle section to come off due to a fatigue fracture?
