Gas smell in the cabin that comes and goes

Sometimes if I use the car less frecuently, and in short trips I can smell gas in the cabin. Problem seems to fix itself for a while after a long trip of over 150 miles. There are no visible leaks and car seems to be running pretty well not lean but maybe a bit rich. What can it be?

A couple simple checks, both of which have been my car's issues in past:

I assume this is for your 69. Try tightening the hose clamps (2) on the vapor box under the cowl. Also, check that the hose that runs from the vapor box to behind the washer pump at front bumper is indeed exiting the trunk area.

Hey! My car has the same problem!
When I hit a bump its as if something in the seat is activated.

Problem is compounded by Raisin Bran.

Spray the cracked box with black plasti-dip spray. My fuel odor was the gasket on top of the tank.
