Question on rear bumper installation ('67)

Where the rear tubular (totally!) braces attach to the fender/bumper, what is the order of install?
Does the brace go on the bottom, or between the fender tab and the bumper tab? Thanks

Brian, I like to put the tube brace on the bottom.
Somtimes the tubes are bent, so they need to be moved into place.
I put the bumper on, and then swing the tube around to fit.

Thanks, makes sense. Do you know if this is the way it was done at the factory?

    I believe so.
I don't think they would sandwich the bracket between the bumper and the body bracket.
I've done some original cars that were that way.

The picture on page B31 of the shop manual verifies what John is saying.

Thanks, guys. Hazards of trying to put a car together with only parts manuals.
