Chrome wheel arch trims...where do I drill

I bought some reproduction wheel arch trims and fitting onto a 73 car that has new front guards also so no old holes to mark and drill from

I know these are riveted in place can someone post some pics so I can see where to drill the holes please.

    Thanks

Clyde. I was thinking about doing the same thing. What are they like? I was not sure how they would go on a white car, probably look much better on a darker color. I thought u could glue them in place as well as rivet. I would be looking at glue , that is what I had on my lancia. Less holes in metal in areas that get wet seem to me to be less places for rust to start.

Pretty damm good Hugh got them from Sierra after Mark (Vintage Excellence) confirmed they were fine

You will need a pretty strong glue as they need a bit of help to stay in place have a small amount of spring in them it seems.

The one car I have had that had them factory had them riveted 5 in each I think but I don't have any pics from back then.

They do get lost on the car as a cream car but will look good when its back to silver

Interested to see how you go with these. I was going to buy some and fit them after the burgundy paint. However, the SWBs apparently can't take a trim as the wheel arch edge is not suitable.

That eBay link seems to have expired Clyde. I also had an offer of some from a friendly scammer in the UK, until I pointed out that he was bogus. He accepted my accusation.

I checked with the usual sources, but the lip seems to be too narrow on SWBs for the ones that are available. http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...heel+arch+trim

Pity they lift the dark body colours well. I am even thing of doing my Fuchs in all silver ...

Glad to help when I can. BTW if not obvious, top photo is left rear and bottom is left front.
