Any good sources for replacement wood dash panels?

I am trying to find a source for a new set of wood dash panels. Would anyone know of a supplier?

I know that there are at least a couple of variants. I need a very early style and also the later 65/66 type.

I am no 64 expert :-)

but this is a Repro for early 65, I am working on the late 65 / 66 with the metal trim

it dont have the "pins" in the back as org , its just glued direct on the dash

Hi Karl,

the 1964 cars have the space just to the right of the ash tray for a total of 6 individual pieces of wood. This style has a metal tab that glues to the "cigarette lighter" piece and allows the radio piece to hold it in alignment. This is the dash in cars 300 001 thru approximately 300 xxx. (If any reader has a car with numbers between 300 and 1000 please look at you car and update this posting - thank you)

The dash from approximately car #301 000 (April 1965) was simplified to the five pieces.

The color on the early dashes were quite red as seen here in the area covered by the dash switches.
The same red color was evident under the 911 emblem on the spring of 1965 dash.

If you need the veneer I have a lifetime supply of the correct wood in the slice for the correct grain pattern. Contact me.

Do we know when the introduction of the aluminum frame took place? This was in conjunction to the knee pad ends growing to the fan shape.

There may have been a color variation for later cars - if you can remove the cigarette lighter, document the color found beneath it and please post.

The bevelled end on these is interesting.

I have some parts that have bevelled ends and these seem to be made from moulded chip board which was veneered and made with small recesses for the nail headed rivets.

These pieces had a chamfered edge but weren't fitted into the aluminium frame.

The later parts fitted to the aluminium frame appear to be plywood and don't have the bevelled end.

All quite intriguing.
