    Rear suspension squeek Help

I am getting a squeek from the rear of my 66 911. I had new bushings installed when car was lowered to Euro height (last month). I thought this would take care of the noise. Shop says the squeek is coming from the Koni shocks. We sprayed some lube up inside but this was only temporary. When I go over a bump I get this Squeeeeek. Very annoying. Any ideas for getting rid of this noise. The shocks seem to function OK but just the noise.
    Thanks guru's

what type of bushings did they use? If they used polyurethane that is your problem. Try elephant racing rubber bushings instead.

Did you add a rear swaybar to your '66?

If so there 4 more places to lubricate (6 if you count the pivot cup bushings)..... the chassis bushings and the link bushings... I use silicone spray

Use grease on the pivot cups......

    Hope you find the answer.....

We used the standard Porsche dealer Black rubber bushings. No sway bar was added. Sprayed the shocks with silicone but lasted about 2 days. Can the Koni's be taken apart to change any rubber?

the inter and outer spring plate bushings were replaced. they came from Pelican parts. The squeeking went away when the koni's were sprayed with silicone but did not last.
Is it possible to open up the shock and replace whatever is making the noise?

Take the shocks off and drive the car (slowly) without them. If the noise is gone there's your answer. Bench test the shocks to see if you can duplicate the noise, if so remove the bump stop and repeat, see what happens.

That will verify what you already know, it is the shocks because you stated in your first post that the sound goes away when you squirt lubricant on them, buy shocks and fix your squeak.
