    Distributor for 1971 T

    Does anyone know what the oem distributor is for a 1971 911 T?

    My '71T US car has a Marelli. I'm pretty sure this is the standard for all '71T's that made it to the States. Not an expert so I'm sure somebody else can chime in.

    That is correct, I can get you the number off of it if you want, mine is in the garage, Points are available new but cap and roter are basically the used market.
    Best exchange is to the Bosch (231 159 006 (E spec) or 007 S

    I am running the 007 currently in my 71 that had been rebuilt to E spec and running Webers, I have a 006 I have been meaning to put in to check the difference.

    Actually, Parts Klassic is now selling reproduction caps and rotors along with points. Ive ordered all three items for my Marelli and they look great and work perfectly, just like the original pieces. They've got everything you need to rebuild or tune up your Marelli. Additionally they are offering full and partial restorations on Marelli's to bring them back to perfect working order.
