    2.0L copper cylinder base shims

Install dry or with some kind of sealant? Thanks

Most defiantly dry. Cylinder and heads are torqued down tight so no issues.

Curil T is a great fall back position. If in doubt about gasket prep it is hard to go wrong putting Curil T on it or any anaerobic sealant. They are really made for machined surfaces so will work excellent for those shims, but also work well with gaskets.
While I was a flat rate foreign car mechanic in Fairbanks Alaska in the early 80's we found that Curil-T on head gaskets really stopped the problems we had with aluminum heads on Iron blocks going from -60 to 220F way to quick by impatient drivers getting that heater to work. The differential in expansion really blew the head gaskets and Curil-T made a very positive difference on those head gaskets.

Thanks guys. Used a 'schmear' of 574. Finally, having procured the rings and 'S' specific wrist pin clips, am making some headway on 960029.
