    Throw out bearing

My throw out bearing seamed rough so I removed it and cleaned/flushed it with varsol. It's actually pretty smooth now, tight from side to side and maybe .015" play front to back. Is it possible to just re-lube this and call it a day or should I change it. 68, 901 trans.

considering the amount of work required if it doesn't work, I'd replace it to be on the safe side. From prior experiences, I would never reuse the old throw out bearing when replacing a clutch. Don't forget to resurface your flywheel too.

Here's the thread I was referred to when I asked the question a year ago:

Guess us 912'ers are just cheapskates, as well as 912 being one better than a 911....
