Exciting: CoA just arrived - Incorrect Option?

After what seemed like an eternity, the CoA arrived today from Porsche.

    FYI I have a 1972 911T Targa 9112111017

I think it's correct but I have one option that deviates from the original invoice (the wheels)

    -1972 911T Targa
    - Production Date Unavailable
    - MSRP Unavailable
    - Engine 6122415
    - Transmission 325756
    - Tangerine 23
    - Black Leatherette 11

    Options
    - US Equipment
    - Manual Antenna - Left w/ Front Loudspeaker & Noise Suppression
    - Wheels 6x15 (185/70 Tires)
    - Comfort Equipment
    - Rear Bumper w/ Impact Protection
    - Dunlop Tires

When compared with the dealer invoice, it shows the wheels were dealer installed (fyi the spare is steel)

Thats cool to see that the buyer traded in a 66 912….

I was told the original owner used the proceeds of the sale of his 1972 911T to buy a brand new 991

Not understanding this, the car left the factory with 6 X 15 wheels, which I assume to be alloy, since steels were 5 1/2 at that time, yet the dealer charged again for 4, leaving a steel spare. When factory done all 5 wheels would match.

Looks like another case where the COA is incorrect (wheels)
What a gem you have in that original dealer invoice. There is nothing like provenance.

Here is one option. Sept '72 the cookie cutters were available so owner bought 4 of them and added a steel wheel for spare and kept the Fuch's in storage. Based on the date stamp of 11/71 on the steelie dealer probably had it in his inventory. Or like above post COA is wrong, but the 11/71 date seems to far off for the factory.

Same happened to my car. I have the 4 fuchs still with their factory finish, the right stamp dates but the spare wheel is a chrome steel wheel with right date stamp. COA says the car originally came with chromed steel wheels... Don't have the dealer invoice though...

It's actually probable that the car left the factory with 6x15 steel wheels as a wheel like that is listed with part number 911 361 021 00. That would leave the 4 alloys as a dealer installed upgrade and at over $100 a wheel, it's easy to see why 4 and not 5! :-)

Less than a thousand bucks for a 5-year old 912... About 10% of the purchase price; that's some devaluation!
