I have got 2 Boge (Front) and 2 Bilstein (rear).

BTW,nothing to deal with the struts but I fancy the engine oil glycerin gauge.

the paint is available on ebay Xavier. You can get them blasted and powder coated, or spray them yourself.

The Boge struts should be black...now whether that was originally Gloss, Semi-Gloss or Satin I'm not positive. Just protect the spindle bead blast the rest.

Paint is not a big issue (thanks for the color/paint details which I did not know). Usually I ask my painter to do it, but I'd like to try mysels.

To remove the old paint, dirt and rust, do I use sand paper and some acid or brake cleaner ?

    Cheers

....none of the above if you want it done correctly...do as a STRETCH mentioned and have them media blasted and then you can decide whether to go paint or powder coating

There's a John Deere dealer in southern Essone.

You probably already know this but Eurofac will rebuild you bilsteins better than new also.
