I need some help to install my cibie oscars
does any body have the info for the complete insatallation.

God only knows why you would post a question re light installation in the 'Membership Questions' forum, but basically here are the main points to look out for:

1. Masking tape on the fender in the area where you plan to mount the lights, ( re positioning see Photo #2 ). Position the painted, empty Cibie light buckets on the fender(s) in a way that allows you to open the trunk lid with at least an 1/8" clearance on each side, and mark the hole locations on the masking tape with a new 'Sharpie'. I recommend propping up the hood so its edge is adjacent to the closest part of the light. Photo #2 shows an RS in the restoration process and the approximate location of the four holes you'll need to drill. The center hole should be large enough to accept a grooved rubber grommet, because that's where the wires pass through, and you don't want them to rub through and cause a short. Save, but do not use the black-painted round plate that usually reinforces the panel to which the bucket is mounted, since the countour of the fender at that location will not match the flat area of the light bucket, and will distort the fender if you do insist on using it. Be prepared to live with reduced headlight output, since the Cibies will sit in front of the lower inside portion of the headlights and partially overlap & block a part of the headlights, sort of like looking at the sun during a solar eclipse.

2. Photo #3 shows a wiring schematic for a typical "long hood" year 911 fog-light installation. These cars had 'pigtails' for wiring fog lights installed from the factory ….all you need to do is find the wires, test the circuit continuity and finsh wiring them to a switch in the dash and the lights. Bear in mind, that to do it legally and correctly, the Cibies must go off when you engage the Hi-beams…… if you're in the US. I strongly recommend a dedicated relay for the Cibies. Photos #4 & #5 show completed installation.

3. It will be infinitely easier to mount these and complete the installation neatly and soundly if you remove your front bumper.

All in all, I think mounting these on the trunk lid is a much better way to go - much easier to get to and the wiring can be done neater and simpler. Photo #1 shows a correctly done four-light installation on a trunk lid / hood from underneath. Note location of light-mounting holes and bolts relative to edge reinforcements.

Final advise, not meant sarcastically or negatively, wherevevr you decide to mount these, measure accurately and often before drilling, then still talk to an experienced pro before proceeding.

In your diagram, the fog light switch, would you happen to have a photo of what this switch looks like? Is it a two position switch, one position turns front lights and a second position turns the rear fog lights. Or do they both switch on at the same time? Was there a switch that would turn only the rear fog without turning on the front fogs? Thank you.

Marco001, the pictures shown by fellow John are Cibie PALLAS, and your initial post refers to Cibie OSCAR. These are 2 different models. Which one are you reffering to ?
