    Rebuilding door handle question ('67)

    When inserting key, Do the teeth on the keys face up or down?

    On my 68 Karmann they are both facing down. I always was told it's better to have the teeth up to prevent water and dirt getting in the tumblers but that seems to be how my car was assembled.

    I see now that the tumbler button can be assembled either way, but that some of the other bits are sided. Left means left. All good now. Thanks all.

    GS…nice detail. Looks like your handle-to-door seals fit nicely. Where'd you get them?
