SF Bay Area Powder Coating Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a source in the SF Bay Area for powder coating a '67S engine air cleaner assembly and other engine sheet metal? This sheet metal was powder coated over thirty years ago but is gloss black and I wanted to get an original looking finish. Thanks.

If it was done in the Bay Area 30 years ago, it was probably done at Poly Engineering in Richmond. You can still take it there and have it done in any color you want.

I've had great results with West Coast Powder Coating in Concord. See Kyle.

I had mine done at West Coast Powder Coating in South San Francisco. The owner AJ owns several 911s (including an RS) and a Speedster so he gets our cars. I went with 60% gloss for the tin and it's a good match for the original paint.

I see both I and the poster before recommended the same name but in different cities. Not sure if they are affiliated.

+1 to Jeff's comments about AJ in SSF. He's a good guy that knows our cars and is an enthusiast himself. Cool guy to chat with.

But.... if you're looking for an original finish on your '67S air cleaner housing you may want to have it painted rather than powder coated.

    Cheers

Thanks to all for the responses. Jeff's guy in SSF is close to me so I think I'll pay him a visit. Can old powder coating be painted over or does it need to be stripped? If you paint the air cleaner housing would you also paint the other engine sheet metal?

What would be the correct finish for the air cleaner housing? Is 30% gloss black approximately correct? I know it's not full gloss black but...

I would have no problem using AJ, in fact, I should have mentioned him first.

    +1 with AJ
The original parts were dipped in 60-70% gloss. I have measured as high as 78% but it was old and cleaned too many times
Powdercoat can be a little work removing and you probably should remove it for the build up issues.
AJ will give you the best advise if you powercoat.
