    Carb throat overflowing....

Pulled a car out of two year storage. Started but fuel was dumping from somewhere. Checked all my lines and connections and tightened where necessary. Narrowed the spillage to the number 4 weber. Took off the aircleaners and noticed that fuel was filling up the throat...literally and running out the top of the carb. After the fuel pump was turned off it was still filling up (at a lesser amount). I am thinking that maybe the valve to that float bowl is stuck open and the 3.5 lb pressure in the line is pumping right into the carb? Why would it not be filling up number 5 also? Thoughts?

Take the fuel line off and spray some wd-40 in the inlet of the carb and let it sit for a while. The fuel dried up and stuck it open.

I think you are right that the float valve is stuck open. On my Webers 4 has its own float and 5&6 share one. I suggest you remove the float valve and clean it. I would not use wd40

That ought to do the trick. Definitely needle and seat open for one reason or another. The electric pump moves a ton of gas if the line is wide open. You will be on the road in no time.
