The Early 911S Registry is dedicated to the appreciation of Porsche 911S cars built during the model years 1967 through 1973.
You
will receive our quarterly publication
"The
ESSES" is our
magazine designed to facilitate communication among members. It
contains technical articles, editorials, questions and answers, and
other
information of interest to fans of the car we like to think of as "the
essence of Porsche" -- the Early 911S!
You
will receive a "Registry" of owners and vehicle information.
At the end of
every
calendar year, we publish and distribute (to members only) a complete
member
list and their cars (The Registry), a valuable resource.
You will also receive an Early 911S Registry membership card.

From my observations , the wider opening was around by early 1974. Yet
If it isn't shown as a separate part in the 69 parts book then it was probably never available separately.
