Hi Steve,
I agree, it’s the location I use form my jack also. I was hoping people would show us more options. I prefer to fixate or lock the jack somewhere..
Have a great easter
There's no where to fix it,,,,it just sits there. SC's finally got a bracket.
Oh boy!
A challenge to figure out a solution
Steve
Even 914's had one.....

No a perfect solution unless your name is Rube Goldberg.
Nested the jack in this heavy foam. Need to trim the backside of the foam to fit against the angle of the sheetmetal where the hood latch mounts. The top left corner shows a donut of the same foam and a zip tie below the foam. The zip tie hooks under the wiring retaining tab on the sheetmetal while the foam donut is compressed which keeps tension on the zip tie. Not much room, so trimming of the foam thickness is a trial and error process or else the spare will not fit.
Keeps all the metal parts of the jack from touching anything else, easy to remove, no drilling required, easy to re-install.

Thank you Steve for sharing! Like it. One more project to try out.
I always liked the way Audette did his.

I would recommend a nice 24v ratchet as well as a thin walled socket to make tire changes speedy.
I found some of these rubber "thing-a-ma-jigs" that Jeep owners use to mount their shovels, etc.
Placed it on the front part of the trunk.
That jack does not move a mm that's for sure.
