Delivered new in March 1966 by Sonauto the Porsche distributor in France in Polo Rot (paint code: 6602) with black leatherette interior, 303800 is one of the first short-wheelbase models, one of the most popular types among the historic rally racing siblings. After 3 owners, the car was acquired by its current owner and entrusted to RV Classic, a workshop renowned for its expertise in the restoration of racing Porsches in France. A meticulous restoration of the hull and its FIA conformity is carried out. Sebastien Crubilé (CRUBILE SPORT) has been entrusted with the mechanics, and the car will make its first circuit runs in 2020.
After its last race at Le Mans Classic 2023, the car is now ready to race with updated safety equipment and its FIA PTH. The engine was recently rebuilt by Crubile Sport, and has only 500km of running-in. A fine dossier of photos confirms that the car's maintenance has not been subject to any spending restrictions. This is a rare opportunity to become the owner of a superb 1965-specification Porsche 911 racing car!

"This 1965 Porsche 911 is a short-wheelbase coupe that was completed on June 18, 1965, and delivered new to a US Army serviceman stationed in Orleans, France. The car was later imported to Nebraska, and it reportedly remained with the family of the original owner until its acquisition by the current owner in 2012. Subsequent refurbishment work is said to have involved refinishing the body in Bali Blue as well as overhauling the 2.0-liter flat-six, five-speed manual transaxle, and suspension. The interior is trimmed in black leather upholstery, and additional equipment includes twin Solex carburetors, chrome-finished 15″ ventilated wheels, Koni rear shocks, a Webasto heater, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio. This SWB coupe is offered on dealer consignment with manufacturer’s literature, a copy of the Kardex, and a California title."
