You think? Very cool car. Struggled to get going in the bidding but finished well enough.
Money no object I'd have bought the baby Turbo: what a car to have owned privately. Porsche showed one at Essen and it felt underappreciated: no context.
Marco,
I am with you, i will would have taken the orange one..... would love to see it in person at some next rennsport.
Yes, the orange 934 is a beauty. If anyone is looking for an equally stunning 934, one of the original 31, PM me. It belongs to a friend who has decided to sell.
Sounds amazing. Owning any one of these incredible machines - 901, 904, 906, 908, 917, 935, 935 et al - totally fascinates me.
Wonderful to realise our dreams, and then to dream new ones.
Who makes these side mirrors?
Vitaloni Sebring. You can either try to find old ones, or get the continuation production model which uses the same mold. They have been in production since the early 60s, and used on everything from F1, Can Am, all of the prototype, RSR, and 934/935 factory Porsches. It's hard to go wrong using one on a 911, as they have been in production since before the first 901. The only drawback is limited visibility. They have to be set to show the blind spot - and that is all that you see. It's something you get used to - or not. Using the wide angle lens both sides helps some.
Thanks Jim!
