The flares were modified by most teams,mine was widened for 10 inch mini lights,front arches were factory original plastic wings.factory flares were 9inch.
When the one car was blue it had very different shape arches when being used in the uk,not that pretty i might add,but it got well used which is important

Correct Paul. The flares on the rear of the car we are discussing are unique to this car. Picture taken at the 2010 CLM.

There are even instances of teams cutting flares from any old car and flicking them on to accommodate bigger wheels. Take this car with the 2CV rear flares. I kid you not.:D

Here is 911 130 0492
Originally a street 911S converted by amateur privateer into race car, rally car. Car raced/rallied in Europe and later on in North America (details are vague) Car was used as a street car in the mid 80's with flares still on it. Finally in the late 80's early 90's back to a race car with RS body work.
Now this old warhorse has been brought back to S/T body, Aluminum Case 2.5 Twin plug 915 7:31 LSD. Will be racing at Limerock Historics Aug 31-Sept 4

Here is the Bytzek, Bartling, and Barth 1970 ,911T chassis that raced IMSA in 72 and Sebring in 73 in ST trim In 73 the car ran a 2.8 I believe. These pictures
