How about some of the rarer early choices like the Cosmics or these-
and these- Can someone identify them?
alloy spare?
Yes of course, Ferrari and Alfa and Fiat. Good look. Are the set with the spinners Campagnlolo? I'm guessing. I don't know, but they look kind of like the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint wheels to me(?). The following are Cosmics in 911 fitment-
I wish I hadn't passed on these, again in 911 fitment-
How about 911 spacesavers on a 356?

It appears that these were made by the MacAfee (sp?) brothers in LA many years ago.
Lars responded on another thread-
MacAfee-Wheels...
Hi Guys..The wheels you are referring to are :MacAfee (sp) wheels...If I have the story right ,one or both of the MacAfee brothers(Jack and Ernie) casted these here in Los Angeles in the 60's (In aluminum alloy,I believe..)...Los Angeles,California is embossed on the inside of the rim...
I have them on my 356 and they are 5.5 x 15 with a little different offset than the regular wheels...In case you are looking/finding some...make sure you get the ones with the thicker reinforced "spokes"(stronger for "spirited" driving and they stay balanced longer)...I've seen copies without the reinforcement and w/o the raised center "hub"...I'm told they were used for VW's,dunebuggys,etc-in the 60's and 70's...

I have a set of these in unpainted magnesium. They are a very Italian looking wheel, even though English. There was Soft Window Targa at Dunkle Bros. this weekend with the same wheels as in your post (painted). They look great on an narrow bodied SWB car.
I meant the Cosmics, not the ATS's.
Al Taylor of Al Taylor's sports cars has a set of those cosmics

Wish he had a set of the ATSs
