Puzzling why this 'L' has base deco (except bumperettes) instead of 'S' deco trim. Odd (redundant/overdone) placement of Porsche hood emblem on engine lid.

Still Interested to hear what people think of the car...
IMO the auction estimate is high unless of course there are historical pictures of the first owner's brother driving in the car with Bianca Jagger next to him :D
I have never seen a badge on the back lid like that. Is that something unique to this model ?

What are you going to do when the vacuum systems give you trouble and the car starts to run whacky. Plus you are behind the 8 ball when it comes time for needing power with that 130 horsepower and that slipping clutch of the sporto. When I bought my 68 911L sporto; it was jerry rigged with all kinds of rubber vacuum hose repairs that looked like they were bought at Ace hardware. So I converted to a 5 speed hot rod and never looked back. Although I still have the original transmission and therefore the car is matching numbers.Chris
BTW the estimate is very high-- they will be lucky to get 85K. Great car for a woman if you can find parts. I do not think Porsche Classic will ever make needed parts for this model.
